PC HELP! (in Off-topic)

done frankensteining two pcs together to make a semi-viable one... its stuck on the loading screen for windows 7u... right after you put your password in


idk what to do... i know it was a huge hardware change for the OS and im wondering if its a driver issue maybe

Try booting in (one of the) safe mode(s) first.
Should let you fiddle with stuff more, including switching location of swap file, uninstalling drivers and so on.
On major hardware change however, reinstalling the OS from scratch is a better idea either way.

its not really possible for me to do a clean install of windows 7 right now....

Safe mode it is then.

If you DO have a copy of a windows install disks though, you could run SFC.exe (stands for System File Checker) so it can look for altered/damaged/changed files and revert them to their "proper" state (by copying over the appropriate one from the install disk).
