Sniped (in General)

Why would the Central Bank snipe my item off the auction from me?

it only had about 20 minutes to go and i was asleep and the Central Bank bought it :(

There's a hidden minimum value that the banker will always offer. He'll only offer once, though. That means that if you have your max bid at a "reasonable" amount, you'll still win the item.

The Central Bank also always puts it's bid in in the last 15 minutes or so of the auction, so if you won't be around to bid, put in a higher maximum and CB will just bid you up a notch.

I was the only bidder on it so i didnt put a higher one at the time.

We use ebay style auctions. If you place a bid over the minimum next bid, cb will bid on your behalf if you are outbid.
