RoE question (in General)

Sorry for all the questions lately :/. I should have my ncb running soon. I read 2 things about the RoE That kinda counterdicted themselfs. Need clarification.

Read that:
The Rune of Enlightenment gives a percentage of the experience a normal tattoo would gain to its wearer instead of gaining levels.
The RoE focuses all experience of an entire team on its wearer, but does not generate any additional exp gain.


The first one sounds lime You would gain a percentage of the experience which would be additional xp than normal however The second set says you Don't get additional.

Does an RoE work on a single minion to help get more xp faster?

I believe a named RoE will give you 4% more weather single or multi minion team.

On a single minion team it only helps if its named. It gives 4% more experience. On a multi minion team, all the experience earned is given to the wearer of the tattoo.

Oh wow. I thought everyone gets xp still but wearer just gets a percentage more.

The first one is pre-change. The second one is post-change. Jon changed this after seeing htat people would use the tattoo on new characters to bolster the growth while you have the new character bonus. Now it's kind of just a rarely used tattoo for redistributing XP. Conceivably, it still might be useful if 1) you already had a tatoo big enough that didn't need leveling, and 2) you wanted to start an NCB with 4 minions, but keep 3 of them at 0 XP for whatever reason (kill slots, I guess). You could later fire them, losing nothing, and re-hire them (thus allowing you to buy XP).

It's a challenging way to play, but probably very effective.

Note that you do still get a 4% xp bonus for naming a ROE. You just don't get all the other extra XP.

So would a single minion get more xp or a RoE 4 team minion with the RoE

It would be the same. The only benefit of putting the tattoo on a single minion is to grab the 4% naming bonus. However, that's a very small amount, and you're probably better off power levelling a tattoo even if you just intend to sell it.

So only difference between me running single minion or a 4 minion team with RoE would be the 3 very weak shields. Lol

Blah. Wish I knew of this change before I spent the 200-300k paid for it.
