Chat is dead. Is it possible to bring chat bot back. Maybe in a second room to revive chat?

Chat bot was great, but no one has a copy of it. That means someone would have to create another one. And with fewer and fewer people using Java clients, the entire chat system needs to be redone.

What exactly was the function of the chat bot? Asking random questions or presenting various topics?

It would greet people in chat, say random trivia, and frequently carp people (it would hit them with a carp). It's a viscous, lovable chat bot that would get people talking.

I definitely remember people carping one another, I can't say as though I remember the existence of the bot - it must have been before my time.
I would very much enjoy chat with a bot and without java.
