Hello!! I am new and just want to ask a question. (in New players)

Hello!! I just want to ask about buying an item by posting in the forums. I just want to know how does that work and is it safe for me to look for sellers in there and not get scammed. THANK YOU!!

You're probably fine there especially if they have been around a while and have a post history - the community here is very honest in that regards.

If you are hesitant of being scammed buying from auctions is fool proof but if you're buying direct from another player using the public records forum adds a little extra security.

Hope that helps and enjoy the game!

As far as how buying from the forums works (I missed that part) once you and another player have decided how much money will be traded for the item you both post in the same public record thread confirming what the deal will be. Then you each transfer the item or cash to the other player and post those transfer logs in that forum.

Most don't use the public record forum for smaller transactions but it is there if you wish to use it.

I'm just here to help confirm what Newlin said. You should be safe with any of the veteran players, and use public records posts to confirm transactions, especially if they're complex. And keep searching the auctions every few days to see what's new.

Well for the most part it is safe, however it is your own risk if you get ripped off and I have by a long term player. I still trade using forums however.

There is no real protection using the forums. I have given up on the whole "you both post in the same public record thread confirming what the deal will be" and just trade items directly. I have lost well over 20+ million CBD that have been documented in public records and there is no refunds or the such. So I find public records a waste of time and only use them to keep track of payment plans.

If you want to be 100% sure of a deal just have them put it in auctions with a BIN of what ever y'all agreed too and don't allow for payment plans as those are what usually fall through :P

Thank you for all your reply! it really helped clear things up

I should clarify that the person did not rip me off. They just stopped playing.
