April 2nd (in Off-topic)

So April 1st has been and gone. Anyone else remember when we used to have April fools jokes played on us? Share some of your favorites.

My favorite was the one that didn't have april fools :D

I slept through April Fools Day. Its for the best, though. Somebody might have made me angry! ;P

Two of my college friends once used a Mr. Microphone back in 1983 to broadcast through the stereo in their neighbor's room and convince him, for two whole nights during finals week, that the overhead pipes in his dorm room were picking up a pirate radio broadcast that also supported a pornographic talk show as a break between songs. They were unwittingly helped on the first night by a guy in the corridor who wasn't in on the joke and who was also interning with the FCC. The FCC intern walked into the room, listened for about five minutes, declared that he needed to call his supervisor so that they could shut down the filth coming from the pirate radio station, and stormed out of the room. He was intercepted before he could reach the hall pay phone and call his boss and filled in on the prank. By the 2nd night, everyone in the corridor was in on the prank and supplying material for the shock jocks to use in their show, and several guys got their girlfriends to visit the broadcast studio and perform as female guests of the studio.
