Why so many bot checks? (in General)
I've only been playing for a couple of months. I enjoy the game, but the bot checks are out of control. I understand the necessity in order to keep people honest, but really? I can't even get through half a forging cycle without getting hit with a bot check - that's one every 30 seconds. Isn't that a little ridiculous and over the top?
Its random and annoying I know, but you are probably the only person fighting. Someone has got to feed the botcheck machine.
Frequent bot checks are fun! After you've answered a few thousand of them, you'll develop confidence that you will always get the 2nd bot check after you deliberately miss the first one. Once you have that confidence, you can use deliberately missed bot checks to send messages to the admin responsible for reviewing the bot check log. The words have to be small, of course, but "Kiss me, Bast" or "Jon eats bugs" are just two small examples of possible phrases. :-)

Thats why I've started drinking
I've been on an extended coffee break, but I'm pretty sure that was almost word for word the first forum post I ever read on CB1.
Bot checks, death and taxes.
There is nothing worse than getting 3 within 10 ba :(
I once got 25 in a row over on CB1 when we had to answer bot checks to get into the store. I had to beg Jon to fix the bug that had me trapped in the store so that I could get back to regular fighting.
