Idea Suggestion (in General)

This is just an idea I had stuck in my head and it wanted out.

A skill called Sword Mastery. This skill would add 15% on the trained level to the damage of hits with bladed weapons. It is however capped by str so any trained amount above str would not result in increased damage. The str modification of EC and GS would be taken into account for calculating the damage cap. However the str drain of the exbow would not be taken into account.

Tell me what you think.

PS: as a special benefit, this brings daggers back into the game.

Isn't that blood lust tho?

I can see why it could be good for daggers but other than that one weapon, I don't see much use for it.

Unless it still does damage even after you have been hit by an exbow....which would be kinda weird.

Indeed that was the point that I was making. It would still deal damage after being drained by the exbow. However any str granted damage would be lost. EC would still drain out the damage granted though.

Yes it would definitely work best with the dagger however it would also be fairly effective with both the elven stiletto and the BoTH as the base damage output is not all that high for those weapons. Blood Lust would be a lot more effective for the ELS and the BoNE though.

In that case it isn't a terrible idea, it would at least offer a hard counter to Exbows which I think it badly needs.

However, I don't think it makes much sense from a realistic standpoint. I have no strength to lift my sword and do damage but my skill with the sword still lets me do some damage, seems strange.
