Help Fixing Your Chat (in General)

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] June 25 2014 8:30 PM EDT

Hey everyone. I figured we could use this thread to try and help each other to get their chat working; so it's not just me and Newlin talking to ourselves (No offense bro :)).

If you want to try and get your chat working post screen shots in here, along with your current browser and OS. I can try helping walking you through getting your chat working. I currently have it working in FF/Chrome in Windows 7 and Chrome on OSX Snow Leopard.

Also, if anyone gets it working on Windows 8 and can help others; that would be very beneficial.

I have mine working on Windows 8.1

Oh look, us talking to each other again ;)

Mine works on Windows 8.1 but my 2k$ computers power supply just took a nose dive. Have to send it back with an RMA to get a new one, could be a couple weeks before i am back in full swing.

:( That really sucks.

This has been posted in a few threads before but no harm in making it available.

Going to your Java control panel, then to the security tab and adding carnageblender.com as an exception should allow it to run in most any browser. At least it does for me in chrome.

If you are running Java 7 there is an issue where your sent chats are not auto-cleared forcing you to manually clear your messages each time you wish to send a new one.
This bug is not present in Java 6, however it brings with it many unpatched vulnerabilities. Do with this information what you wish.

Hey need help with fixing the chat I do the steps above but once I click add it just erases the line and doesn't add the exception

You'll have to add it exactly like this now:

http://www.carnageblender.com

You should see a dialog box that wants you to confirm since it isn't using https and then you should be all set.
