New here. Any tips on what items and skills and such I should take?

I would pick up a Rune of Solitude and place it on your minion with Ablative Shield trained. I would also get a nice ranged weapon instead of the Halbred and then check the wiki out for basic Tank, Mage, and Enchanter armor sets.

Thanks for the insight. However the Armory does not seem to keep this Rune in stock unless im looking in the wrong place. Also none of the other items in the wiki to use appear to be in there either.
Would it be wise to assume there are hoarders among us?
They are "rare" items so you will not find them in the shop. Instead, they spawn in the auctions or are found randomly through drops.
You can start up a WTB thread for the Rune of Solitude and see what kind of offers people give you. If you want to see what people have paid for it in the past, you can look it up in the Auction House with past turn on.
