Dispel Magic question (in General)

Let's say my minion has a DM that is effective for 2,000,000. I fight a single minion with AS. It is at 1,900,000 so it will fizzle and be nullified. What if that character had another minion that cast GA for 1,900,000...would both fizzle because my DM total is higher than either ED spell or would AS fizzle and GA be reduced to approximately 1,800,000?

Thanks!

They would both fizzle.

Remember that the AS you see cast is way lower than their effect level AS.

Great!

I know it appears lower, I was assuming that was the low point of AS and that it was maybe at like 5mill...just assuming the final casting effect was 1.9mill

So my opponent could really have 4 different ED spells all casting with a final effect of 1.9 mill and all 4 would fizzle from my 1 DM at 2 mill?

yup

Yep, and you can have 4 people casting DM, which all stacks.

And then your opponent wears my RoS and DM no longer matters :)

It's one of the big 2 offensive enchantments for that very reason, the other one of the big 2 being anti-magic which is the only way to keep Decay in check. And remember that dispel magic WILL dispel your Anti-magic or Ethereal Chains so don't use them together. Note: Rune of Solitude allows you to break this rule.
