Tournaments (in General)

What would entice more of you guys to play?

MPR limited to 3m?
better prizes?
more money?

shorter/longer?

I think you do not need to limit the MPR. Although setting up a tournament so that top players end up with a score of about 1M MPR would make things very challenging (IMOP).

I think that the most enticing rewards will be ones involving more BA.

Here is my suggestion: I am not even sure if this is possible, but actively participating in a tournament could result in an extra bonus given to players during each normal battle for a certain amount of time following the tournament's end. This extra bonus would be called the TPB (Tournament Participation Bonus). This would act like, but not replace, the NUB or NCB bonuses that might be in effect.

Money and prizes would then be given as extras for the tournament winners and would act as motivators to win tournaments (it would also help them buy extra BA to take full advantage of the TPB).

Right now, the tournament page mentions a 200K reward for active participation. The TPB would be much more enticing. Especially for players who have ended their NUB/NCB runs and are getting bored, currently stuck at the same MPR for massive amounts of time.

MPR limited to 3 million is the most important one, to me. I don't mind any duration of a tourney.

Those are good ideas, TH! I'd love to see those implemented, if its possible!

giving a special bonus isn't something that we can do :(

A cap on BA spent (and providing the full allocation on character creation) would make the tournament more interesting. 'Most BA spent' meant the last tournament was pretty much over after 24 hours.

A cash reward for participation could be a good motivator, e.g. $1000 per BA spent if you use at least 50% of the allocation.

I liked the huge bonus rewards in the last tournament, but I'm not particularly for or against MPR limits.

A week seems like a good duration. The midday start time is not great for me as it's 4am in my time zone. I would happily play in a tournament every second week.
