Personal Fav builds? (in General)

I am looking to start a new character to try something outside my normal. What are some of your favorite builds so I may have some ideas that would normally be outside my ability to come up with?

Do you have a preference of how you want to deal your primary damage? The two broad choices are between range (archery) or Magic (Direct Damage spells)? Magic is much much NW efficient but you can make range work well too as you build up your NW but you will be at a disadvantage until you do. Once you pick your preference we can give more ideas of what you might be interested in...

I almost always stick with fireball DD so I was thinking about changing to focusing on a Familiar instead of spells or going with an archer or assassin kinda build. Doesn't seem to be much in the way of melee builds though.

I have a two minion team...archer & Enchanter. Works decent, you can take a look.

If you want your archer to do the primary damage be sure to use your strongest minion. Most of my experience has been single or 2 minion teams. Maybe someone else can give some feedback....

you could do a 2 minion team with a familiar, FB mage, enchanter with DM / AS, and a Halidon Familiar, capitalize on ranged damage
