No revive. (in Off-topic)

So the one thing that I thought would have brought carnage back from the dead didn't even raise an eyebrow. This pandemic making people stay at home and unable to do anything. I believe if the chat system was up an running like it used to be that CB might have made a come back. But it also wouldn't have gotten this forgotten by the main chatters either.

Just my two-cents in a five-cent world.

Yeah, we tried Discord, and while that did connect a few of us better than the chatmail system here, it failed to revive the community as a whole....

If someone could make a permanent link on the Sidebar to some kind of new Chat feature, then that might work better. I'm sure there are some out there that we could use for free. Maybe a link to our CB2 Discord Server? Discord has a web-browser-based client that should be easy enough to link to. It requires a sign up for each new user, which some may not want to bother doing, but it's the only thing I can think of at the moment.

That is most likely a fact. However, I posit that more people could be persuaded to use it.

What other forms of communication do you suggest that may be better options than Discord? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Over the years, between original CB and CB2, I've put a lot of time and thinking into this game. I know that I, for one, don't feel I have time for games anymore, and I only log in rarely out of nostalgia. CB2 also hasn't kept up with the times, in that Zoomers with the free time aren't interested in text based games.

Frankly, I'm a little surprised it's worth continuing to host CB2, I can't imagine it makes enough to meet the costs of hosting.

Maybe we should just do a CB Reddit Forum.

That's an EXCELLENT idea!!! Now, who wants to do that for us? I could make just a random post, but a Mod should probably be the one to make a Subreddit for CB2.
