Was CB better before Tattoos? (in Debates)

What worth do tats have in CB? Are they necessary?

I will soon post my input. But give you all time evaluate your thoughts on the matter.

An ancient debate but still relevant. Of course, I remember a time when we camped the store for a Lock Axe. There were no tattoo's then.

It strangely seems that tat's were a compromise to the bigger problem of scale. Not to mention at the time many mmorpg's were employing familiars at their own peril. Pet's, or extra bonuses made through base experience are not a wholesome way to deal with problems of architectural game scale.

Nevertheless, build of the game is amazing and the single server system obviously works. I still hang out here, but there is a stagnation, a blight on the beauty of the game, and I don't blame the tattoo, the ink is dry, but I do sometimes feel the nostalgia for the good old days.

My argument for the tattoo, it is a long game wild card that can really pay off in the end game if you can get that far, and that is awesome for the elite few that do.

Maybe Tattoo's could be the "Coin" in a conceptual game. And you could trade that coin around. But the ladder could have "Coin" and "Non-Coin" Stats.

Endurance was the worst idea in my opinion. Tats are fine though they desperately need re-balancing.

This is awesome. Can you just go ahead and put all current weapons and armor into gdocs like you did with Tattoo's?

Yeah, will ponder what it would look like to do automated monthly Sheets file to share with standings at that time. While CB tracks historical Score, PR, MPR I'm not aware of any way as players to see tat or item growth over time.
