  3. How to set up Internet Explorer (Windows version) in order to avoid caching and similar problems
  4. What to do if you have Internet Explorer (Windows version) Caching Problems: (E.g., your BA doesn't seem to refresh or you can't see the item that was transferred to you recently, or chat won't load, etc.).

Questions and Answers:
  1. Q: How can I scroll the left frame?

A: Click in it, and use the mousewheel. (Clicking in it first gives it focus, otherwise it won't work.)

Some people report that this doesn't work in Internet Explorer, but does with Firefox, so you could try upgrading your browser if that's your situation.

If all else fails, go to Settings and turn off the logo to save space and/or set your screen resolution higher; CB is designed for a minimum resolution of 1024x768.

  2. Q: What browsers are supported?

A: I test with IE (6 & 7) and Firefox. If anything else works (I'm told Safari does, except for setting play-by-play, which probably means Konqueror works too) it's just luck that they got their javascript compatible enough with one of the others.

Don't bother reporting incompatibilities with a browser I don't test with; sorry.

  3. Q: How to set up Internet Explorer (Windows version) in order to avoid caching and similar problems

A: Warning: The following measure is extreme and will slow your browser down.

    In Internet Explorer:
    1. Select Tools/Internet Options.
    2. Click on General (tab).
    3. Select Temporary Internet Files.
    4. Click on Settings (button).
    5. Set "Check for newer versions of stored pages" to "Every visit to the Page.
    6. Click okay, then okay again and restart IE.

  4. Q: What to do if you have Internet Explorer (Windows version) Caching Problems: (E.g., your BA doesn't seem to refresh or you can't see the item that was transferred to you recently, or chat won't load, etc.).

A: Click on Train and return to your main screen. This will frequently be what is needed. If it doesn't work, then:

    1. In Internet Explorer, Select Tools/Internet Options.
    2. Click General (tab).
    3. Select Temporary Internet Files.
    4. Click on Delete Files.
    5. Click okay, then okay again and restart IE.

You do not need to delete "all offline content".

Either follow the instructions above or connect to http://www.mozilla.org to download Firefox to use instead of IE.
