I use chatmail wherever it is convenient... in chat when I'm typing to someone that isn't online or in chat... or on the page when I go to someones sale thread or what not....

I use chat to CM people that arent online, so that it will be delivered through their preferred medium, but when they are online and just inactive, i use their user page for the same reason.

I prefer having a page for it... mostly because I forget how to do things, or if I've done something already, and having a page where I can look to see who I've given a chatmail to is a good thing. Keeps me from double-posting to them. :P

Both!

I type in whatever box my mouse pointer is nearby. The /mail function is just as easy to use as the chatmail boxes on the user pages. The clan chatmail is a bit different though.

I'm with Draco. I use both religiously.

Considering, however, that I have to visit pages for Admin purposes a lot of the time, I probably have to say I'd give preference for the web portion of the ChatMail functions since I don't feel like C&Ping people's user names into the chat box. :)

Talion: He probably wants to find out who uses which of the two (chat or web-based) ChatMail. He may consider to get rid of the chat-ChatMail function. All logical speculation, but by no means, correct. :)

OK, actually, I take back my initial comment.

I send ChatMails the most via web-pages (because of Admin stuff), but receive (I HATE receiving ChatMails via the home-page) ChatMails the most in chat, especially since I'm logged in 24/7.

I think the voting is biased, anyway.

There are way more people that play this game (and submit a poll option) than there are whom chat. Therefore, the majority of people (by default) would have selected the web-page option because the people who use the web-page (everyone) is much larger than the people who go into chat.

And, yes, I am looking at you JohnnyWas and Sutekh! :)

He proposes we should set up a separate chat poll, which involves creating an empty room, and asking every person in chat to go visit that room and voice their opinion. He has volunteered to read all the responses and give us a more 'accurate' result of how CM is being used on CM.
