The truth behind boring chat = boring old people (in Off-topic)
Boring old people live in carnage, and since us youngens can no longer inhabit np, we're stuck in carnage with all the old people!!
Old people are boring...they either never talk, or tell you to keep quiet so they can yawn and chew tobacco in peace!
No wonder chat is so empty these days.
I say we kill them all and feed them to the ducks!
Then eat the ducks for dinner.
That way us youngens can take over the world and make it a much more exciting place to live in. A world where boring people are executed on the spot and hanged to show what becomes of those that are dull...A whole new world that's better for us all....

Sute is right - he isn't boring...at all. Long-winded, maybe sometimes ;)
The carnage chat environment was created by humorless borg and chatops. It is an insidious persistent pall, but not insurmountable. I just have more important things to do so someone else will have to pick up the slack.

Takes a Geritol, reaches for my walker,Then shakes his fist,These kids nowadays have no respect for their elders. Not quite that old yet but well on my way.
I say we take the entire "Princess-Can't-Be-Wrong" generation and feed them more Ritalin so that they calm down and actually do leave us to yawn and chew tobacco in peace.
That way us oldens wouldn't be bothered with the childishly annoying spew that is this thread.
I AM REALLY BORING, I'M SORRY AUPSTAR I WILL TRY TO (stupid caps lock!)
not be so boring, maybe I can build a suspense-bot to make you happy then you will like chat and everyone can be happy.
Look for more exciting me in chat, now!
ur dum n newayz ur post is to long
Alternatively, if you had something both shockingly interesting and brilliant to say, you surely couldn't be stopped? No stuffy, elderly chat-codger like Raven could keep you quiet or resist responding to your insights himself.

Chat needs an ombudsman, clearly.
And more on topic, I turned off chat a while back for the reasons NSFY states. I could always have fun there if I wanted to, but it was usually me starting the fun (at the times I was doing it, anyway). That's no fun.
well, everytime I go to carnage nowadays, it's full of life...am I missing something? lol
I rather enjoy the fact that the majority of people who responded are those aupStar was referring to. It seems they are taking offense, although small and negligible, it shines. :) Maybe it's a sign that aupStar's just posting what we're all thinking? :P

Must be because I've been out of chat for a while. I'll come back, rest assured, and then all the former partying that occured in NP will return.
Without my incredible good looks, chat gets boring quick. I apologize for my lack of presence, and the apology is doubled to all the women.

The problem these days is that young people are bombarded with all the latest fads on a second by waking second basis. This leads to a dramatic lack of culture in the majority of youth. How can you claim yourself interesting when you lack the wherewithal to be the aforementioned?
"O youth! The strength of it, the faith of it, the imagination of it!... Oh, the glamour of youth! Oh, the fire of it, more dazzling than the flames of the burning ship, throwing a magic light on the wide earth, leaping audaciously to the sky, presently to be quenched by time, more cruel, more pitiless, more bitter than the sea-- and like the flames of the burning ship surrounded by an impenetrable night."
-- Joseph Conrad's 'Youth'

I'm insulted that you think old people are boring. I'm still young, but I can be boring, too! Don't pigeonhole me as an exciting person simply because of my age - I won't stand for it!
:-P

When does a young person become "old"? Is it an age thing?
I'm young and chat never seems boring anytime I visit. Maybe I'm just old...

How old are you? Because old is older than me, and I was born in the 60's......
To those that took offense,
1. You have no sense of humor
2. You are boring!
3. You are most probably old
That pretty much sums it up..hehehe
