Kindness Pays (in Contests)

I love CB. And I'm pretty sure everyone loves CB. So here's your chance to prove it.

I'm sponsoring a contest that will promote random acts of kindness.


I started today. I do them occasionally, giving out animals in chat (1-10k) or sending people loans and stuff. I see other players who do similar things. And I like it. Alot.

But I see alot of players who could do great things, but don't. Either because they don't think of them, or whatever.


I'm going to make this a 1 month contest. At the end of it, me (and whoever I get to judge) will award the 5 most thoughtful, decent, helpful random acts of kindness.

How do you play? Do something nice. Post it here. Forget being modest. Seriously. You know when you do something nice, so go ahead. I understand you aren't doing it for profit but... everyone likes shiny stuff.

So get out there and start doing good, nice things :) then post them here.

P.S. If someone does something nice FOR YOU and are too modest to say it themselves, post it here for them. The contest takes both types of entries.


As of now, the prizes are undecided. Of course though, I plan on making them worth the effort involved. I try and get the top 5 prizes together as soon as I can, with a list of judges.

Slayer has currently agreed to be a judge.

Also, if you wish to donate to this contest (Sorry lol, but it can't count towards a good deed) send the money / items to Community Chest.

Saw that Johnnywas had 150k left in a deal with another player. I payed that off for him.

Seeing as I don't want this to become an "I have more stuff to give then you do" though loaning gear is a good deed, and will count towards how much you do, the amount a player has to give will (most likely) be brought into consideration. So, you players who simply can't give 100 million NW items out, no fear, you aren't out of the running by any means.

Secondly, edyit has agreed to be a judge.

I think pops just wins, the guys has loaned me so much stuff i lost count. hes always loaning stuff out so people can fight higher or test strats.

Maybe I should say this again. While PM is -very- kind. He is. But he also has the items to spare. He doesn't automatically win just because he is richest. There are others ways to do kind things.

So while PM definitely does get points in my book for loaning out and helping so many people, he doesn't get them all.

When Johnnywas encounters Explosive Shots in the weapons store, he buys them and just transfers them to a random SoD user.

They're not quite so random, but I feel that Barzoo's contests are certainly acts of kindness and generosity and deserve a big mention!

I think Bast should win this contest hands down.

For her constant giving away of seekers she paid over 30 cb2 each for.

Especially to those who cannot use seekers like FB mages, so if/when eventually they change to an archer (in a few months to never), they will be well stocked up on ammo.

Maybe I should point this out... a good deed is a good deed. The motivations behind it don't matter, whether you -like- that person or not doesn't matter. Bast should get credit, if for nothing else then the fact (AoD) that she brings many players happiness and aid.
