Hey all, perhaps you still know me :p
The thing is, I have a '95 Toyota Starlet (see picture below or just google on it.
It currently has wheel caps and I am going to get matching coloured bumpers. The thing I need to do is find rims which actually match the car and don't look too exaggerated.
HERE I have a link which could be the basis for your investigation, if you don't use it, no problem but it could make it easier for me to order :)
Some pics of a Starlet similar to mine:
One; dump the starlet buy a real car :P
two; any new set of rims will make this car over the top :P
Toyato starlet lol
No serious why do you want to invest so much cash into a car that depreciates so much in a year. Rather save up that cash for a newer car. for only 6000 Euro's you can drive a Peugeot 206 from 2004 with only 20000 km on the clock.
First of all:
Click
Secondly you need to write down the measurements of the car tyres and the wheel arch.
I think 15 inch is the max for this car. otherwise is going to look very over the top very fast.

"for only 6000 Euro's you can drive a Peugeot 206 from 2004 with only 20000 km on the clock"
Henk, for about half of that I bought that Starlet with only 44,000 on the clock... and this car ALWAYS starts and is much more reliable than that 206.

Does your Starlet have the black side mirrors?
Then go for some black in the rims as well.
DOTZ brands hatch dark It'll look beautiful.

A bit offtopic, but... I am really, really jealous. My mother bought a Peugeot 106 GTI. Double tailpipe, eyelids, everything. I love that car. It looks a lot like
this car except for the color. It's 'lucifer rouge' instead of black. God I love that car, if I manage to get the money together I hope to buy it from my mom. Who's also crazy about it, by the way. *sigh*
go invest in a real car like the new camaro that coming out or even a mustang cobra if you can get those over there

Destrinator: they may complain about high fuel prices in the US, but fuel over there in the US is actually very cheap ;)
then perhaps a Chevy Volt all electric and very sharp lil expensive tho

Well, they sponsor eco cars a lot. Instead of the Ford Mondeo I've chosen (which costs me about 400 euro a month in taxes and other costs) I could've picked a Prius instead. That would have cost me only about 150 euro a month because I pay far less in taxes on that one. Note: that's not even counting the difference in fuel costs, which I do not have to pay.
I've even tested the Prius, but found it horrible to drive.
No offense man but there are no rims that could possibly make that car attractive. You're better off getting a motorcycle to use when you arent commuting or a classy muscle car.

Any car can look sweet with the right guy driving it ;)
Get some spinners, Shade!
If you can get spinners for less than $30, it's definitely worth it. Spinners are at least $30 funny. On that car, maybe even like $45 funny.
So, in Europe, is it cool to like drive around cars that look stupid? Cuz like Henk mentions that your car is stupid, then says something about a Peugeot, and then Indy links a picture of a Peugeot that looks like your car, but black and shiny. Was someone in Europe just like "Aw, sweet, this is like the coolest car design ever! We should make all our cars look like a Volkswagen Golf from 1982!"
Speaking of fuel prices, how is the fuel efficiency on that guy? Because if you get like 800 miles to a gallon, that'll at least change my opinion of it.

CC, are you seriously saying all (small) European cars look the same?

Yes.
When I went to Slovenia, there were 2 things I noticed the most about differences:
1) Almost all the cars looked the same (and were small).
2) All the cars had more of a boxy look compared to other cars.
Indy: do you not see a similarity in the shape of that Peugeot compared to the Toyota Starlet? I mean, I understand it's parked on an incline and all, but it was still pretty apparent to me. :P

Of course there's a similarity in style. Most small European cars of the '90s have that, they're hatchbacks like indeed the Volkswagen Golf of 1982. But there's a lot of differences between any of the cars listed above. Just like there's a similarity between the newer Ford Mustangs and the new Chevrolet Camaro. I have to agree that Shade's car wouldn't be my choice either, but the fact he does like it, doesn't mean it's cool in Europe to drive around in cars that look stupid.
And SNK, Slovenia? Try a European country that wasn't under communist oppression :P

Well all is funny and things but tips like 'get a real american muscle car' just doesn't work for me.
1: fuel prices are quite high here
2: the car itself would cost much much more than I'd be able (or willing) to pay for
3: this is my car, I'm just asking for some advice on rims, not to have my choice of car being trashed...
But Indy, the rims you picked might work, but then again, they might make it too much, I'll have to think about those for a bit...

Those are not the, how to put it... subtle touch I meant.
I like more straight lines rather than all those curvatures. Also that shop I've seen before and those prices are higher than that for another shop I've seen. :)
Still thanks indy :)

Do they make chicken suit rims?
AdminShade

No, neither would I want them to be made :p
Really, though, what's the fuel economy like on that car?
And I support the rims that Indy suggested.
