If stalemates gave xp, it would be easier for two players to abuse the system -- unequipping and fighting each other over and over and over. Remember that when you 'kill' your opponent, he is unavailable to fight again for 75s or until he heals manually. With stalemate this does not happen since nobody 'dies.'
I hope it's pretty obvious what the problem is. Revive time is now circa 10-20 seconds, not the 75s in the FAQ.
