Question on dispel magic (in General)

Does dispel magic affect friendly minions? This was a fight I had,

Fantastic Four
Ben Grimm cast Dispel Magic on all enemy Minions (8223)
Johnny Storm cast Ablative Shield on all friendly Minions (303)
Sue Richards's Antimagic Field fizzles under Dispel Magic

Nardo Polo
Panatela cast Ablative Shield on all friendly Minions (725)
T* cast Antimagic Field on Johnny Storm (0.71)
T* cast Antimagic Field on Sue Richards (0.67)
T* cast Antimagic Field on Reed Richards's familiar (0.51)
T* cast Antimagic Field on Reed Richards (0.67)
Robusto's Guardian Angel fizzles under Dispel Magic
What I don't understand is, why did Sue's AMF got dispelled when none of Nardo's minions cast dispel? Since there was no dispel magic on the opponent's minions, all my spells, no matter how small, should have gone through. * T short for Toro to lessen misspelled checks. :P

Think of dispel magic like this:

You've got a battle field, with your guys on one side, and there's on the other. Say 100 yards away.

Dispel magic dispels THIER WHOLE AREA. So when you cast AMF on them, your casting an anti magic field on there little area, then dispeling that field with your own dispel magic.

In short, EO + DM = BAD. Anything that gets cast on THEM is dispelled.
