cache flush (in General)

[EG] Almuric January 12 2005 9:00 AM EST

I assume other people are seeing the 'nightly cache flush' also? Since no-one's really posted since 5:00 am?

Shark January 12 2005 9:25 AM EST

Yep it's been down since cache flush.

There's a post (albeit from me) on public record :)

AdminShade January 12 2005 9:36 AM EST

flush is over

Is there anyway to post when CB's hung up in a long cache flush? I can read the forums from the link on the front page, but can't post, as I'm not logged in. And can't log on due to the cache flush! ;)

Phaete January 12 2005 10:13 AM EST

I don't log out, so the cookie stays and allows me to post i guess.
At least i did post this morning when boredom struck :)

Remember this address and password is the option on the log-in screen. Check this box (and don't delete your cookies manually) and you will remain signed-in (as far as your pc is concerned) even after you kill the page and switch off.

I have that box checked, but sometimes it doesn't log me in automaticaly.
It used to work, now it's stopped, i have to log in every time.

[From CB1]Tequito January 12 2005 10:35 AM EST

my guess is that the cache flush was so long because the server needed to fix the so many peope logged active in the past seven days thing in community.

AdminG Beee January 12 2005 10:40 AM EST

Asgarginia, it may be the security settings on your pc or firewall that have been changed and no longer allow the cookies ??

Like you I have the box checked, and as long as I don't manually delete cookies through the tools:options menu on my IE6 browser then I always remain logged in.

Sorry I can't help you further.
