"Active threads" changed (in Changelog)

AdminJonathan January 14 2005 12:55 PM EST

Just posting so the usual suspects don't report it as a bug. :)

Chargerz-Back January 14 2005 1:02 PM EST

so we can no longer see any posts from the main page?

AdminJonathan January 14 2005 1:05 PM EST

bingo

Xenko January 14 2005 1:08 PM EST

I don't think I like this change :(

a20sidedninja January 14 2005 1:14 PM EST

I like the way it looks when you click the link, but I miss the mouse-over function. I'm curious, was this done to conserve bandwidth, or to silence those wanting an auto-refresh on the left panel?

SBW January 14 2005 1:33 PM EST

ditto

MrC [DodgingTheEvilForgeFees] January 14 2005 5:27 PM EST

/me doesn't like :(

And yeah, as said ^ I'm curious why the change, I thought it was much better before.

phrog January 14 2005 10:45 PM EST

Ditto-the page looks nice but the mouse over was nicer.

Undertow January 14 2005 10:59 PM EST

This stinks. :(

Descent January 14 2005 11:03 PM EST

I like it, personally.

xDanELx January 14 2005 11:10 PM EST

Can't we have both? The roll over was a nice feature I think.

Sedecim January 15 2005 7:22 AM EST

I'd like a minor change to the current implementation of the "Active threads". I feel the date part isn't really needed. There are enough posts within 24 hours that only the time is enough information. It would also save a tiny bit of bandwidth... ;)

[cb1]Lord-Vex January 15 2005 7:31 AM EST

im with xDanELx Both IMO.

Bolfen January 15 2005 2:20 PM EST

How about putting the active threads in a separate frame? Make it a supporter option to display the frame or not and to autorefresh that frame or not.

AdminG Beee January 16 2005 6:48 AM EST

I like the change, but how's about a mouseover on active threads that lets you see:
a) Threads created by me
b) Threads I have replied on

dnnx January 17 2005 10:57 PM EST

sweet!

golgotha January 18 2005 7:17 AM EST

good idea G Bee

Stephen Young January 18 2005 10:49 AM EST

Very sweet. Maybe just added to the Forums-> mouseover.

AdminG Beee January 19 2005 2:14 PM EST

Wasn't a good idea, or Jon just not seen it ?

AdminJonathan January 19 2005 2:21 PM EST

I'm not interested in anything that will result in stupid suggestions to autorefresh the sidebar.
