Newbie questions (in General)

1) How does dispel magic work. The message suggests it is an all-or-nothing affect. That is if it works it totally cancels the spells it affects, if it fails the spells are unaffected. But another thread suggests that this is not so. Anyone know?

2) Why are there never any cloaks, robes, or leather boots in the shops? Are folks camping with bots and scarfing them up, then reselling them for enormous profits. I never, EVER see one.

3) What is the difference between a tattoo and a lesser tattoo?

4) The description of Cloak of Balrog Flame says "prevents use of skills or enchantments." What exactly does that mean? No other armor/weapon enchantments work? The wearer has no evasion, archery, etc?

5) How do I minimize the chance that my fireballer torches my minions?

6) Does decay always take away 1/2 of the remaining hits? If so, what is the use of increasing its level?

1, I believe it still hurts the spell even if it's not fizzled (someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not too sure about it).

2, Not bots ;) or we'd hope not anyway, but yes, people buying them and selling them off.

3, Lessers upgrade slower, other than that they're the same so if you're borrowing them and not buying them then there is no diference for you.

4, It puts all your skills and enchantment effects to 0, so you can only have a DD spell, HP, ST and DX.

5, Make sure either it dies in ranged or your opponent dies in ranged.

6, Decay will always take away 1/2 of the minion it attacks health. At it's base level it does it's full effect but is very weak to AMF so you'll need to train it up or be almost always watching your minion pretty much suicide.

2. People are still equipping farms so cheap armor is uncommon now
3. Lesser tats level up slower
4. CoBF nullifies enchantments and skills, but not dd spells
5. Put the fireballer high up so he dies before getting into melee
6. Decay is not all or nothing
