Chess Tournament (in Contests)

Yes, I am going to hold a Chess Tournament for Carnage Blender.

The games will be held on Yahoo's Chess Game, so the people who enter will have to have signed up for Yahoo, or will have to sign up to play.

I have done this before in CB1.

Ok, it will be a classic tournament, once everyone is signed up, i will randomly pick the challengers and the 2 people i pick will choose a time to go and play. They will play one game, and whoever wins, continues on to the next round and plays agaisnt the winner of another game, and so on, till we get the winner.

Entry Fee: 15,000 CB1D.

i remember when someone did this, and they had a hard time because they had to go over the games and look for signs of a BOT/chessmaster programs.

I did this before in CB1 with someone else, we were just going to trust everyone. and if anything spots a cheater, there out. no refund.

even tho i dont know how u'd know :P

alright, ill leave this till thursday... thats when im done exams, and then ill see how many people signed up, and ill start sorting it all out. so thats 1 week for everyone else to come in and join.

Ok, There is going to be bets placed for this tournament.

For people who do not enter the contest only. You will be able to place a bet on someone playing.

so, if u place a bet on Velo for 5k that he will win. and if someone else bets that TNO is going to win, and they bet say 7k. and lets say someone else bets on TNO for 3k. TNO wins, so that means, the person who bet on Velo, loses the 5k, the person who bet 7k on TNO gets 10.5k. because i will take their bet, half it, and add that number on to the bet they had.

so 7,000 + 1/2 which is 3,500 = 10,500.

The other person who bet 3k, will get 4.5k.

sound pretty good?

Donations will be greatly accepted, i will not get any money off this, non-profitable :P

So donations are very welcomed, and if u are, please send the donation to ChessT, the donations will go to the winner of the Chess Tourny. Or you can choose to donate to the Bettings, which then u would send to ChessBet.

The game will start on Thursday... well thats when i will make the games up, then you and your opponent will decide when to play, then Post the win!

Oh, and instead of the winner getting all the entry money, its going to be 80% to winner, 20% to loser of the winning game.... so to 2nd place :P

And the other person playing may catch a sign or something if someone uses it and they could report, but unless someone knows of a definate way of telling someone is cheating.. then i guess we can only trust, lol.... /corny_alert\

velo: no, those programs can usually find at least a decent move faster than the average person.

velo: it's easy. unfortunately, it's hard to hold an honest chess match online. you have to hope for honesty, but that's just too much to ask for some people.

whats a chessmaster?

On CB1 we relyed on Honesty and i think so far the people who have entered are nice and honest people and wont cheat, we can only hope for the best....
