GA and Decay (in General)

Under the definition of Guardian Angel:
"GA damage type is the same as that for which GA is retaliating"

Guardian Angel retaliates against Decay. If the damage type is the same, then Guardian Angel's retaliation against decay damage should be decay as well. If the opponent does not have Antimagic Field working, then the Guardian Angel's decay retaliation should take one half of the attacking minion's hit points, and it should not kill the opponents minion.

Is this reasoning correct? And is it being observed?

Here is an example. And note that Don Kixothe has a battle cry, and since the battle cry did not work, I'm assuming Guardian Angel killed the opponent's decay minion:

Don Kixothe 'The Greek' crushed Clark Kent [14710]
Don Kixothe 'The Greek' draws strength from his weapon! [686]
Clark Kent's Guardian Angel smote Don Kixothe 'The Greek' (237)
Don Kixothe 'The Greek' pulverized Clark Kent [12966]
Clark Kent's Decay hit Don Kixothe 'The Greek' [1164]
Don Kixothe 'The Greek''s Guardian Angel smote Clark Kent (329)

R.I.P. Clark Kent

There are 2 types of damage: physical and magical. Now re-read that spell description ;)

amf backfires follow the half-kill rule, but GA fights back with its percentage all the way up to whatever amount of damage is done. decay still is good against GA, tho, because later in game, people have huge hp so a decay hit can be lots bigger than the GA level can hit back.

most likely Don Kixothe's damage was already enough to kill your Clark Kent. the additional Guardian Angel damage wouldn't kill him..
