Fireball (in General)

The description says that unprotected minions receive 1/2 damage during melee rounds; is this dependent on Antimagic Field, because against Antimagic Field, my minions receive more than two times the damage the other guy's minions are taking.
Oh and Antimagic Field says may backfire, but the spells always backfire, even if they take 0 damage.

0 Damage means that your opponent blocked it using AMF or a CoBF. That doesn't mean your attack did 0 though, just means they took 0.
So it can still backfire.

And you will get backfire equal to half of the total damage your FB does in that round to all your opponents' minions, I think anyway.

Unprotected means without a CoBF.

also that your OWN minions take half the damage isnt the same as your own fireball being reflected by AMF...

When does it not backfire?
