I don't think that BMVG is working anymore, because of the rule that you can only bid for the item that you vote. Honestly, I've only followed 1 week of BMVG, and that's because I didn't know that I can't bid on other items.

I think the reason that most people don't seem to care is because the votes required to spawn an item are so low at the moment.
I regularly vote with the bmvg. There's no way I can afford any of the spawned items but I go along with it anyway :-)
