CB2 strat?? (in General)

May be Jon is going over board over with Tat. It seems in CB2, a total newbie can rent the biggest tat and can win many people that way over him. Even in CB1, renting a biggest ELB and Loch will not let you fight up score/Pr at this rate.

Look at this char Xeropie (Xero). He just rents the biggest ToJ in the game and start owning people, that I can't win and I'm nearly 4x PR than him. It's good that you can look at the graph. The score is high inflated with the ToJ. The people in his fight list are like 3x more PR than him.

It's sad that CB reduce to a sub-par game with little strat left.

The way Jon seems to want it to work in CB2 is by score, I don't think he cares much for fighting at PR.

Yes if you chose to fight with a big tat you can fight at a higher score, that just means your character is at a higher "level" right now, very few of these will stay so far above PR.

Besides, ToJs are the only tat that trains HP so the others can't be used as affectively to fight above PR, ToJs damage is very wimpy, I've got my doubts that in a couple months a tattoo from a 1 million pr char will win fights at even 300k pr as there's just too much HP to chew through. Just my opinion though.

I've noticed the ToJ getting wimpier as I've gotten bigger. i don't go through the effort of loaning/renting to level it up, so that has a bit to do with it, but I've had to train haste simply so that it can hit the opponent. In summary, I agree with MrC.

all a ToJ is to me now is a giant meatshield. it serves no other purpose.

It's not the HP that make the difference. A 100k ToJ has a dex of 33k, which makes it unhittable by an awful lot of people. Now, certainly a ToA would have the same effect, but there aren't many of them available for rent, are there?

Lets not forget ToJ train Endurance also, so we have a tough meat shield (jerky shield?) that has won me a few fights...

But I can see them having less and less of an impact as PRs and NWs begin to climb...

The ToJ also takes a lot less DD spell damage - my MM mages take forever to chew through a good one. Once done with the familiar they do 2-8 times as much damage to anybody hiding behind it.

I like the fact that you can use them to jump start a character. I like skipping the grueling first 50k pr in about 3 days.
