Just wondering - saw a black market MCM auction I liked ending soon and placed my BM vote for the MCM this AM. I still can't bid for it - does the auction have to be spawned after my vote? I figure this one should still be open game. Yes? No?

As far as I am aware, you can only bid on what you vote on.

I think the MCM you bid on, has to spawn, before you can vote on any of them

As I know you cannot bid on items already in the auctions when your item spawns.
But you can bid on future items of the same type for 2 weeks.

Grr - figured as much, but I was hoping that voting now was a shortcut.

That would be a bit abusive to the system and the people who voted on the item to make it spawn.
Jon has thought this game out just a bit.

I had figured that the one vote a week was enough to prevent major abuses, and this option might be for flexibility. For example, if I don't vote until Wednesday and the item has already spawned, I miss my chance for the item entirely because I didn't vote soon enough.

Exactly, if you dont vote soon enough, your chance is gone.
If you could bid after it spawns, whats to prevent someone with lots of money to wait till an item spawns vote for a similiar one, then buy the one already out there.

Actually, I've tried this out, and Majestic Moose is right. Once the item that you voted on spawns, you can bid on *any* of that item in the auction (even ones that spawned before you voted).
