Data: Beleg's Gloves vs. Nothing (in General)

Here is my old link comparing Beleg's to Tulka's ranged damage:

Those trials gave Beleg's a 12% improvement over Tulka's.

This time I'm comparing Beleg's to Nothing. The weird thing is--I still got a 12% improvement. Maybe I'll rent a Tulka's again to make sure, but right now, the obvious conclusion would be Tulka's didn't add significant ranged damage at all.

I'm using a Tank with Archery trained to 25% of ST and attacking eight common opponents with and without BG's three times each.

Just a thought, but was Archery trained high enough so that even with the strength bonus from the TG's it was still 25% of ST?

If archery was trained to 1.00 (25% of Strength) without the Beleg's, the gloves giving an increase to damage mean they work like TSA does to BL or BTH to VA. Even though you don't see an increase (I assume the character doesn't display 1.25), you still get the benefit...

If I remember correctly from CB1, str adds nothing to ranged attack power. That being true, tulkas should give the same result as nothing, as you found.

ST does add to ranged damage.

also you should make a comparison of damage in melee also if you want to compare Belegs to Tulkas.
