Just thinking, you get a lovely bonus of 1.2 if you train archery and have no penalties... bloodlust is the same except you die quicker, and u have to wait till melee.
How is that fair? it sort of make all the other skills pale in insignificance... ;)

1.2?? I thought Archery boosted your ranged damage by 40%, and allows you to fire in round 2 as well, so it gives a 110% boost when you combine those 2 (but it requires more cash, as you spend more on ammo).
What you forget is that Archery only works in ranged. After round 3, your bow is not boosted anymore...
Both of these skills should be trained at 1/4 of your ST. XP that could also be spent on other stats.
Archery only firing in ranged gives you three hits. Without any way of seeking tanks with the arrows, you'd just better hope your opponent doesn't have 4 or 5 minions. Sure you can supposedly hit them with wimpy melee and beat them, but ultimately it's 1v1 by the time you get to them, who would win, melee tank when he's at his best or archer who's weilding a wimpy weapon and has no bonus?
UC = Cheap, allows you to put money in other areas, certainly under rated.
Evasion = well, stops a CB2 Spid.
With Evasion higher than your opponents pth + Dex it's possible to dodge every physical attack thrown at you.
With Evasion equal or less than your opponents pth it's not.

Bart, isn't Archery a 30% boost, 40 with Beleg's? Anyway, BL boost is MUCH larger, but the minion with that skill trained also takes more damage. BL works very well in conjunction with high AC, and VA helps too.
If you want to speak to the experts in BL, talk to Todd and/or spydah. *smile* They are also well-versed in Archery, as they switched over to that towards the end of their reign on CB1.
Armor with penalties also seems to reduce BL effectiveness

archery at 1.00 adds 40% more to damage and adds 1 more round to your ranged combat rounds.
belegs add 15% damage on their own if im right
I thought the level of Archery was a percentage change of getting to attack in the second round of ranged combat. When my Archery ratio dropped below 1.00 I was still sometimes getting an attack in the second round.
I think Belegs adds an amount to your archery skill, (don't know how much, but for example I'll stay with 15) so with an archery of 85 + Belegs you'd hit 1.00 and have an attack in the third round every time...
But I could be horribly wrong! ;)

Pretty sure Beleg's are just an additional % damage, not sure if it applies in melee or not.
And yes, Archery does not have to be 1.00 to get that second round. The number acts as a "chance" factor for firing in round 2.
