Sharing IPs? (in General)

I know there are plenty of couples/siblings, etc sharing IPs, but are there any guidelines on using that sharing as an advantage in the game?

It just seems everyone in this clan:

Is on the same IP and are using it to "raise tats." What's to stop one person from using all the accounts as BA farms?

I'm not accusing anyone of anything, but just asking for guidelines.

will you people please stop pointing out them as being multis

Newmcyo and his brother and sister and some friends often play at their homes.

perhaps we should ask them to stop doing that but it is known by admins (at least known by me) that they only share the tattoo to raise it.

but the shared raising isn't doing them much good anymore

I am in a similar situation, and would like some "guidelines" as well - I am in a 4 man clan, 3 of which are close friends of mine. We all play across my LAN here in my apt. most of the time; we have been DEATHLY afraid of getting blocked/banned because one of us wants to buy an item for the other, so there have been times the entire clan has passed up good auctions. I'm not saying the restriction should be lifted (hey, I can abuse free e-mail too), but I'm wondering if there are some specific DO's and DONT's concerning IP sharing across multiple players that would allow item-sharing and so on without setting off alarms like this?
