Let’s have some fun with this. This is how the game works.

1. Vote for the Adamantite Cuirass in the Black Market
2. Send 100k cb2 to 'Bank Vault'. Post your transfers here.
3. 20 players are need for this to become activated
4. When the Adamantite Cuirass spawns, CB2BANK will bid on it.
5. If CB2BANK is successful in its bid, the Adamantite Cuirass will be raffled to one of the 20 players. I might get someone else to take the list of names and do that.
6. If 20 players are not reached by the time the item spawns, all of the money will be returned WITH INTEREST earning 0.5% per day (not compounded). So in 2 weeks 100k would return 107,500.
7. If 20 players are reached and you win the raffle, you win the Adamantite Cuirass with your initial 100k investment.
8. CB2BANK Investors Club members cannot play.


This is the first game, so there may be bugs and issues. But, let’s see if it can work, and maybe have some fun.

Everyone who knows me knows that I go overboard to be fair. So that this is not perceived as a "scam" I want everyone to understand that I realize the issue that 2mil will be invested, but the Adamantite may be worth a lot less.

I think that this is not easy to do, requires time and effort, and so a reasonable fee may be 20% of the sale price. Whatever money is left over then can stay in Bank Vault as a POT. The winner of the subsequent Black Market Raffle will receive the pot. This sweetens the deal! As an illustration, if the Adamantite sold for 1.5 mil, the bank's fee to run this would be 300k. There would be 200k left in the pot to be won by the winner of the next raffle, along with the black market item!

Like I said this is the first game, so there will be bugs. I would appreciate constructive criticism or suggestions. And if no one wants to play, well that's ok too. Thanks all.

Well just my opinion but 20 X 100k is 2 million for the adam, that people will be paying. Adams go for about 500-750k. I am using past auctions to determine this. So thats about 1.25 to 1.5 million profit for the Loan Sharks. Perhaps people perceive this and dont want to give away money.

Perhaps if the buy-in was, lets say, 50k then it may be worth it to more people.

But I for one have no idea how the winner will be chosen and that also scares me off a lot.

Exactly, ranger. 100k is a lot of money to throw away for a 5% chance of getting an Adam. Not to mention the fact that I could buy 3 (yes, three) Adams for the amount of money that CB2Bank would be getting for this raffle. I for one, have no intention of participating.

2. CB2BANK members cannot participate.
3. CB2BANK will take a 20% profit and the rest of the left over money will go to the winner.

So, the cheaper the Adamantite goes for the bigger the overall pot! I suspected there would be some skepticism, but this is the first Black Market Raffle. I hope it will be fun and will be looked forward to with enthusiasm as we get one or 2 done. Thanks for your thoughts, though, and I hope that clears up some questions for others.

Well if you have no intention of participating, then don't, but that doesn't give you the right to go and discourage others by posting about your disapproval. It's a contest, not a FS/WTB

uhh, you know, there is a difference between thinking you can buy something and actually being able to do it, there are only 13 of them, go ahead and prove me wrong though.

I was not trying to discourage people. I was voicing MY concerns and even suggested that if the price was 50k more people (read between the lines-me) might participate.

But at 100k its a bit too pricey for me. And due to the amount of people in already, possibly for most other people right now.

It is that I see this post for a while keep on popping up and perhaps I can give an opinion on how to improve it. As Barron said this is the first Black Market Raffle and said there would be bugs etc...

There is a good reason for the price--it is to increase the likelihood of winning the bid.

Like I said the extra cash that's not used to bid for the item GOES TO THE WINNER, less the commission for running the raffle.

BMVG was started by Di as a non-profit system. You guys are taking advantage of the BMVG and using its name to make a little bit of cash for yourselves.

And who would wants an adam anyways. about 70% of CB2 are mages, and most tanks have tattoos.

By the ways, I thought you weren't allowed to profit off of contests.

I don't see how this is different from any other raffle. I've been working on this raffle for 2 weeks, so it's been a fair amount of effort to keep it going. The BIG winner here is going to be the winner of the raffle.

My commission to run this is 20% of the sale price. If the Adamantite sells for 1 mil, cb2bank gets 200k. The winner of the raffle gets the Adamantite AND 800k. NICE!!

Why do so many people want to find fault here. Try to make this fun. If you don't want to play, then don't.
