Equipping more than one tattoo? (in General)

I can't seem to find anything in item meta-stats or in the FAQs. I have a two minion team but I can't equip a tattoo on both minions. If I have my ToJ equipped and I try to equip my ToF or ToI on my other minion, my ToJ is automatically unequipped.

It seems that I can't equip each of my minions with a tattoo at the same time. That's cool, but it would be nice if it was documented somewhere.

You can only equip one tattoo per character.

Yea it looks that way (but I imagine it should only mean tattoos with familiars). I just think it should be documented somewhere.
