Is there a "Last Ditch Effort" Bug? (in General)

I noticed that when I fight against Waralt, his tank consistently hits me throughout the melee rounds for about 2-3K dmg for about 2 times per round. When it comes to the last round of combat his tank dishes out around 9-12K in dmg? How does it come to that? Its like a steroid surge in the end, lol :S

Waralt minion: Kuners

This happens once in a while. Though hes does miss frequently :D

perhaps because he then fights a different minion having less AC?
