Superman9 - Definite scammer/probably multi (in Public Record)

Superman9 has been taking multiple loans, and not one has any repayment, and every single time he sends the money straight to Eloren. It is highly unlikely the two aren't working together, because there is no PR post of a debt to Eloren, and they keep sending tags like "almost paid off or" something about a bet.

Now, even though the loan from Redemption is recent, this behavior obviously shows that the two accounts are linked in someway in the theft.

As a side note, he has also been claiming on the PR post about my loan to him that he "paid it back in full" and when I said he never paid a dime he claimed his money went down 1.1 million. Kinda odd figuring he never had any money on his account in the first place. He had no transfers to him, and maybe a handful of fights since.

Considering 500k CB2 is the equivalent of 10 USD, I wonder how well Superman's ISP take it if I informed them he was using their service to scam people.

This guy obviously isn't going to pay off his past debts. Heck, he has yet to do so. If an admin could get involved, that'd be great.

And going by the rules and warning stated on the FS/WTB about being scammed and admins NOT getting your items back for you, nothing is going to happen, minus superman being reset and perhaps the other account should it be a multi.


Next, don't come up with things like "im telling his isp", they will just laugh at you.

mrwuss, let's try using a bit more of a constructive attitude. Kai hasn't asked for a refund. Neither have I. We're simply asking admins to take a further look into things. I never said I was telling his ISP, I simply said I wonder what they would say. Let's try to stick on the topic of Superman9 scamming and possibly being a multi.

Eloren's IP proxy does look quite suspicious.

And here's Eloren's 10 day forecast. Rather interesting that the transfers have been paying off a debt to CB2Bank. /me strokes chin.

After a little more digging, I found these one-sided transfers began on the 19th of February, then again on the 22nd, 23rd, and 26th of February, the last of which had a note with "all paid off" written, but no transaction of items or money going from Eloren to Superman. Ignoring the tattoo trading/loaning, March 16th began another set of one-sided transfers from Superman9 to Eloren.. $663,022 to be precise. Another $200k on the 17th, and then on the 24th, there was madness... I don't know exactly what to make of this:

While that may not be much on its own, but added to the above information, it gets even more suspicious.

Superman and I are friends in real life, so we felt no need for a PR post. We are not working together he just owes me for a bet in real life. He was paying me off and apparently taking out loans to carry this out. Kaiousama, I will talk to Superman and see how he plans to rectify this, but tbh I had no idea that he was going to scam people out of money otherwise we never would have made the bet!(march madness :) ) I'm not sure what the course of action is, but I dont know exactly what I supposed to do in this situation.

I also forgot to mention that the items(leathers etc) were being forged by superman and I think you can check the chatmail records to confirm that?

I don't see Superman9 planning to repay anybody Eloren, so I'd keep the money he gives you on hold.

Worst part is I had used the money to pay back Barron for a loan. Can I get an admins opinion on how to fix this? If need be I can sell some items or take out a loan to payback whoever superman scammed.

Scratch that, I think it is because he sent me his character Devil after he sent the items so it shows the character as being mine but at the time it was his.

no, actually, it still looks bad for you. those first (last if reading from the top) two transfers (the cash ones adding to $363k) were between his own characters then. That means you were sent 160k+, a bunch of gear, a 1.8M ToJ and a character.. thats quite a large one-sided trade to do without a PR post, or even a mention in his "Quitting" thread. /me smells fishiness

I'd just appreciate it if an admin would look into this.

As no matter how I try to explain this or rectify it its going to end badly for me, I just sent my biggest character to Bartjan along with money and items with it. This may not be the best way to handle it but I am just gonna quit the game and he can sort out the items to whoever was scammed by superman9. I still maintain my innocence but there is nothing left for me to play here since my reputation has been tainted forever in this game. Thanks for the couple months of fun and I hold no grudge against anyone here, as you did what you probably should have when the situation looks as it does.

I would stop listening to the crowd and it's not thier call in the end, they are simply the heckler pool, doing what they do best. Getting involved where they are not, wait for a FULL admin to look it and set out the issues. Until then, ignore the crowd and keep playing.

Things I dont get:

1) Eloren says the leather items and such were being forged by Superman9. However, in the transfer logs the items weren't sent back to Eloren after seven days, with the same NW as they were sent to Superman9. Also, this wasn't a loan, as the xfer log mentions nothing of it, and the items were returned an hour prematurely of when they should have been even if they were trying to "fake" a loan. No forging took place, and no loan was made (which strikes me as odd, because loaning is the primary way of leasing your items out for forging).

2) I see no reason why anybody who was dumb enough to loan him money should get paid back. I don't mean to say anything bad about those who loaned him money, but c'mon! Superman9 hasn't bought or sold a single item from the store since March 13th. Strike you as odd? What this also means is that he had no sort of collateral at the time of the loans. He hasn't sold any equipment, hasn't transferred any that wasn't sent to him by Eloren, and has no NW on his active character nor his retired one. If people are too lazy or uneducated enough to research who it is that they are loaning to, I say let them get what they should have coming. The "idiot tax" exists for a reason.

Descent, keep in mind he did have a reasonably active character with a decent score when the loans were made.

Eloren's character Devil has been sent to bartjan, not by me. Presumably bartjan is taking care of things on that end.

On the multi side, there is some evidence that they are multis. There is other evidence that they are not. At present I am inclined to think the "not" evidence is stronger.

As mentioned earlier I am quitting after this incident but I want to clear some things up so people like Kaiousama get what was "taken".
Heres a timeline of what happened:
1. Superman agrees to forge some of my stuff and we make the bet on march madness.
2. Superman decides hes quitting and sends me all the gear back(hence the no upgrades) along with his character toj etc.
3. He decides to go out with a "bang" and starts taking out loans and sending them to me because of our bet that really had been covered by the stuff he had already sent me, but for some reason he wanted to take advantage of others and "help" me out since I had a loan with cb2bank.

As someone mentioned earlier the idiot tax issue. Who deserves the idiot tax? Me for not making a post on the bet and several other things I did wrong. I believe by sending the character to bartjan he can sort out what to do and who to pay back. Kaiousama and whoever should not have to worry about this loss of money and should be paid back in full if possible from the gear on Devil.
To the admins: Do whatever punishment you see fit to my character as I probably deserve it.
