Jonathan's Way (in General)

I was perusing the forums while my BA was refreshing and i noticed quite a few articles on recommended strategies and whats the most efficient teams are and what not. A lot of people gave different views and ideas on how to build their own custom team. Successes and failures; what works and what doesn't strats; littered everywhere. Everybody wants the "Ideal Team" the one that kicks butt and prevails at everything. So if cash was not an issue what kind of enhancements could be made to team to increase proficiency?

But the question I'm really asking is "What would Jonathan's ideal strat/team be compromised of? What kinds of equipment would he use? Would it be 1 minion, 2 minions, 3 or 4 minions? All tanks? enchanters? Of all the endless variations which 1 would he utilize? Im pretty sure every1 is aware of expostfacto. But that doesn't seem like the kind of char giving it its all or is it? Any reason such a char hasn't been built yet? We can all hope :D that he can shed some light on what kind of char he could build.

We all know he would have a four archer team, each with an ELB: x32767 and +32767.

Yeah, he probably would use all the low items if money wasn't really a concern, just for a laugh.

well i see you guys are taking the "if cash was not an issue" to the extreme. But seriously if you could have a spending budget of 20million, what would the strategy be like?

ToE CoC Mage.

Sell the 20 Mil for USD.

Two minions: AMF, and wall with a 19mil CoBF.
It should be enough to win against FB mages and tanks.
The remaining mil, for some armor on the wall.

If you want to use a tattoo, add a dagger and a ToJ or a ToI to the first minion.

Don't bank on ToE CoC Mage strat since next month is an odd month.

Take this one step further. What the the characteristics we see that a given strategy is great. That would be a high score for a given pr and high rewards per fight for a given pr. Why not create a stat that tells us which are the best stats. The size of the character or its pr is irrelevant. Even a newb can develop a great strat. It would be fun and interesting to see this stat, and to examine the highest ranked characters. By the way, I know this has been discussed before...many times. But, I think the time has come to bring this stat into existence. :)

First, Min/Maxing is bad for a game. Pointing to a strat and saying, "This is the best" would be stupid. Do we want everyone to play the same strat? Besides, Jon's balancing efforts belie the idea of a 'best' strategy. The whole paradigm, (if you will) of this game is that there is no best strategy, just a whole bunch of different strategies, some of which suck.

As far as Jon's ideal strat: I submit that Jon doesn't know what the best strategy is. He doesn't play enough to have figured it out (if it's even figure-out-able.) Someone like Myth, whose aim has never been to get to number 1 but to play a bunch of different strategies and have fun, would be a much better judge of what's the best strategy.

Aside from which, Jon makes changes to the game to keep one strategy from dominating. If there is a best strategy at one point, you can be sure that it won't be for long.

Would the 'best' strategy be one that used US$ or not? If not, would it be beatable by a US$ strat? If so, then what to do about people that don't spend US$ on this game? Wouldn't everything else be trumped by someone who plays 24/7 and never misses BA? After all, given a high enough PR, you can beat anyone. So the best strategy is never being away from an internet connected computer for more than 3 hours. And perseverance.

To sum it up, the best strat is a myth. It doesn't exist. Just play the game and have fun.

u can be sure that if jon said one strat...everyone would have it, and it wouldnt be the best anymore :D

Just to give you a idea how the best strat is hard to figure it out i have argue about 1 hour on footear for ToA tank.

EB will will increase archery so a part of that exp can be re-invest in Hp.Offer some AC

CML will decrease your archery and ench you have on him.But offer a good amount of AC.Will decrease any dmg take by 10% and a bit more vs physical.

DB will offer evasion and combine with the ToA will make you very hard to hit and make double hit vs you impossible.That have no use vs mage and dont give the AC need but wont decrease you archery and ench.


So there is some trade off on any footwear.

lol get a 16m AS, 16m GA, 16m DM, stick huge bows on each minion, and put 10k hp, dx, st, and archery on each minion also =D

;) That would be owned by a 17K EC. No str, no damage.

but that GA will still do damage...

and plus if the elbows are [6x10710984370139847132] (+10932470198324)...it doesn't matter whether or not you have st or dx :P

i love to see even the forge costs for 3 bows like that...
