Question about elven boots (in General)

Have elven boots always given a bonus to evasion? I have a very new low level evasion trained - 132 (1). With the boots equipped it shows at 139(1). The descriptions in item meta stats don't state that and as I never used them in CB1 I'm in the dark here. Anyone?

All I can say is that when I equip EB's on my archer his archery skill goes up. I suspect there is some dex basis for archery and evasion that are effected by items that increase or decrease dex. Perhaps you should try equipping armor that has a dex penality and see if that decreases your evasion skill as I suspect it would.

I think the bonus you get to your dex raises your trained skills (evasion, archery...)

Thanks to the caller to the Johnnywas show who confirmed Ranger's suspicions about dex bonuses boosting skills too. And yes dex penalties lower them too. Learn something new everyday...
