Transfer Fee Error? (in General)

I'm looking to xfer my character VBSpike to Gaza, but it says this:

A transfer fee of $305,584 will apply. This fee is equal to the $50,000 plus an amount proportional to the PR of the Character, plus the sum of the item transfer fees that would apply if they were being transferred individually.

Now, My PR on the character is 191240. I have no items on it, all were removed and placed on another character. My question is, does it take some time for the PR with my ToJ to wear off? Or is there something I don't know about? By my math, it should only be a 241k xfer fee. As this is the first time I'm transferring a character, I realize I could simply be missing something. Please help me out! :)

"proportional to" does not mean "equal to"

Fair enough =) is there anyway the formula can be released? I'm just curious how it works, couldn't figure out any equation myself.

this would be an excellent application of your algebra skills...

The only thing I can come up with is that its the (PR + 50k) * 1.25 , but even that's a few grand off. Is it asking too much to know how it works? :(

God will never reveal the secrets of his universe :)

proportional means it follows an equation like

fee = c1 * mpr + c2

you know c2, you know your mpr, and you know the fee, so you have enough information to find c1

What? No randomization? Jon - too easy!

AdminShade May 2 2005 4:31 AM EDT

minion fee = Minion pr * 1.333333333 (formerly the same as pr but then Jonathan scaled PR down to 75% of former PR

then the transfer fees of normal items + cash apply

forgot to add an example:

last night 37500 PR character, cost ~100K

50K = static price + 1.333333333 * 37500 = ~100K price :)
