Renting Arrows (in General)

I just tried renting some arrows, never tried before like but I thought id give it a go.

I worked out that in an hour if an archer used as many as possible (starting with 160 ba and maybe buying 350) that they could use around 2,750 of them. The rentals system at the moment only lets you rent items for over 24 hrs, in this time almost 50k of arrows could* be used if different people rented for periods of 1 hour.
If just one archer rented them for one period of 24 hours they could use at least 6,000 of them.

What I'm asking is this:
1) Can we have a change so that its impossible to rent arrows and so end this sillyness :p
2) Or can a cap on the number of arrows used in a time be imposed? (2,000 per hour/ 5000 per day?)
3) Or can the minimum time for renting arrows be reduced, so that they could be rented just once for one hour?

As it is, if I rented some arrows for 24 periods of 1 hour for $30k they would be all gone in 7,8 hours? The rental fee for this is huge (like $14k) and it really isn't worth it. If I rented for just one day the price would have to be big instead (like 100k) and who is going to pay that?

you can rent out items for 1 or 2 hours already... just have to put it in the right way.

also its no use renting arrows as you can only own 14999 of them making it impossible to put in lots of arrows and be able to fight yourself with ammo also.

and it isnt profitable because store prices for ammo are already lowest in the game.

1: just stop putting them in, its your own 'risk'
2: why that? it would mean a cap on your BA use.... which is stupid.
3: they already can be rented for 2 hours just like ANY other item...

why were inexhaustible arrows taken away?

IAs were taken because there was no balance with them, you just couldn't really make them suck, although they didn't do much damage the huge bows compensated for that.
On another note arrows are not supposed to be rented, you can go around in life and find a ton of things that are silly and should be changed but it's pretty obvious Jon let's us use common sense. And renting arrows just isn't common sense, I doubt you'd make much of a profit off of them.

Some people may want to offer single or small amounts of "named" ammo for rent subsequently allowing the person renting to make a bundle of whatever size they want and get the bonus that comes with named ammo for the duration of rental period. Named ammo will only ever reduce to one and not zero as with other ammo so will be returned to the owner at the end.

Not worth the effort perhaps, but it's all about choice.

We don't see double chain mail going away any time soon either ...

if Armor would be allowed with ToA, DCM/Fluted Steel Cuirass would be used by me...no DX penalty.

and you cannot put a cap on the # of arrows used in one sitting, say bye to 'archery' if that happened.

you would use a DCM over an adam?

*non-rare*...lol, but yes, an adam.

DCM has a -20% dex penalty... unless you're talking about some other kind of DCM.

with DCM, the only penalty to DX is in trained exp, not ToA granted DX.
