misc for May (in Changelog)

Cleaned up some of the damage code; things work more like you would expect now -- at least if your intuition is the same as mine. For example, now FB's damage to friendly minions is halved before armor etc. is applied, rather than after.

Beginning tomorrow, you may purchase 50% more BA per day.

Increased drain by axbow/exbow; also added a non-percentage factor to make them more useful at low levels.

Slight bug/problem...

When you used to shoot someone with an axbow it would say in the fight log:

someone shot someone [888]
--someone looks clumsier

And now it doesn't. Is this supposed to be like this or...? :)

oh wait, its only doing it sopradically. hmmm

Is there a random factor now, so it doesn't always drain ST/DX?

Axbows and Exbows are upped, a matter I might have hoped for :)

As these changes came in, one by one, I was left a bit mystified as to what the heck was going on. But now stepping back and looking at them all as a whole, I think you nailed it. This was exactly what we needed.

What would REALLY be a nice addition to the AxBow/ExBow is if they automatically sought out the char with the highest Dex/Str. Sort of a inbuilt seeker ability targeted at their preferred targets. The main problem with these weapons is that they are typically wasted when shot at a wall or enchanter char. Rarely ever am I able to target a tank with it, though at least now it has a chance at hitting the tank.

Where have you been? The axbow seeks the highest Dex, the enbow seeks the highest str.

If you use seeker bolts, then those bolts take priority over the natural ability of the xbow.

I am wondering one thing... with new user bonuses reaching to September now, and with more BA available, and with the fact that New users nets positive, by buying BA...

I can really easy see a guy starting now, and fighting constantly being at the absolute top in September...

that's really the point of the NUB

although always buying max BA wouldn't necessarily be the best path given that sometimes NW is better than MPR

That taking a very long time to burn all those ba i think i made something like 7K PR from 6PM to 11PM.

Is that tempory to give time to ppl like sefton to balance there NW/MPR.Cuz i really take a awful load of time to burn those ba.

I had 336 buyable ba before, so 336 * 1.5 = 504, but I only get 503. No big deal, but my obsessive compulsive tendencies tell me to buy ba in equal sized chunks, so prime numbers make me crazy.

perhaps it was rounded a bit before the change

err, You can buy 504 BA in an equal size chunk.

oops, make that 503, d'oh.

easy fix :P

buy 3 x 167, enter armor store, weapon store, and cover up the -, with the 2 BA that's left
