This is terrible. @ $6, the Vorpal Blade has completely diminished the value of any other weapons on the market.

And it isn't like this is the first time a nice weapon is a supporter item. The SoD, GoP, MoD, all supporter items, just not on CB2. The economy will be fine, chill out. Lot's of people don't have $6.

Dude, that's dumb. :(

Melris fined 50k for Non-PG language in a post.

Those weren't upgradeable at all, from what I hear. The longterm usefulness and viability of these will depend on the forge costs, but from what I've heard initially, this will be a very powerful blade.
undertow, those items weren't forgeable.

Yes but then you have posts like this:
Subscription Sponsorship needed (500k available)
Not everyone has $6 but plenty of people have 500k.

Actually if you really want to debate the merits of this new blade it goes as follows;
This blade will make all others from Exec/Katana and below obselete.
However, the big 4 will still be in demand due to their cheaper upgrade cost and higher base damage. Especially BoTH and MH due to their inherent life leech.
The big losers in this are those that already have a large Exec or Katana who obviously will be less then 25 cents per dollar return on their investment.

And the people who are going to ruin it are the ones taking 300k for 6$.
THOSE are the people to fault, if you want the new blade, then buy suppotership.

Well, I'd argue that I'd rather see the money going towards these blades than a ToBF

This actually makes sense... right now there's a huge price gulf between the katana and higher weapons. Depending on how this floats after its supporter period is up, it might be a reasonable bridge item.
(BTW, I like the post title change... thanks admins!)
mrwuss says:

$300K is the normal conversion price for $6 US, assuming $20 per mil. Not sure what the complaint is.

Yah, and actually it's caused a rise in the value of CB2$, with some going as high as $400k

Cough. Undertow, if people pay 400K CB2 for 6$ instead of 300K, the value of CB2$ is going down, not up.

They're helping the US economy :P

The current rate of cb2 is $5 for 250k.
If someone is paying $6 for 400k, that is an increase is value.

Wait... wait... okay, I'm shutting off my brain now, it's not doing me any good anyway.

CB2D @ 20USD per 1 mil = 50,000 CB2$ per 1 USD
Now, CB2D @ $6 per 400K = 66,666 CB2$ per 1 USD
E.I. More CB2$ for less US$. = hurting the value of CB2$
So Undertow was correct.
melris, its I.E. and more cb2 per usd is bad for the value of cbd. if i was to say 10 mill cb for 10 bucks, the value of cb would be 1mill per dollar, aka worthless. if it was 10 cbd per dollar, then cbd would be worth a ton, because every fight nets you 200+ us dollars. people would flock to the game because cb would be so valuable and so easy to obtain...
