Looking to get a little help on how to make the perfect character (in General)

DrAcO5676 [The Knighthood III] May 19 2005 12:00 AM EDT

Any help on making the perfect character or character combinations would be greatly appreciated.

first day on the job, and looking to be perfect...

LumpBot May 19 2005 12:04 AM EDT

That's the fun of the game. There is no perfect strat.
You're basically asking what is better, rock, paper, or scissors.

Pretty much but any help would be greatly appreciated..... ^^

LumpBot May 19 2005 12:30 AM EDT

since you all ready have 4 minion, make the first 2 only Ablative Shield, the two on the bottom should be only Fireball

[Redneck RV] Truc May 19 2005 12:33 AM EDT

I'm not necessarily endorsing Spaceman's exact suggestion, but I do agree that you are spreading your EXP out too much....and I've never been a big fan of Evasion.

Jason Bourne May 19 2005 12:37 AM EDT

spaceman....paper is definately better...so many people go for the rock the first time. if they dont then they go for paper, and so you tie. no one in their right mind chooses scissors the first time because everyone else chooses the rock :D

its simple....now about that perfect strat :D

Any other pointers I could get from you guys? I still don't quite grasp all the concepts of the game. ; D

Maelstrom May 19 2005 12:37 AM EDT

it's best to concentrate on only a couple of stats at first, instead of spreading your experience out over many.

Unlearn Evasion, MM, EC and AMF on the first two, and use all that XP on AS.

On the second two, unlearn Evasion, MM, EC and AS, and use all that XP to learn and train Fireball.

Spaceman +Truc = Maelstrom

LOL

InebriatedArsonist May 19 2005 12:40 AM EDT

On a very general basis, try to keep each minion focused on one major task. Concentrating experience in a handful of complementary skills and stats will work much better than a smattering of spells and skills.

Unequip melee weapons on DD casters (ie draco and draonis), as they are not casting DD spells whilst equipped with a melee weapon!? (correct me veterans if that is incorrect).

DrAcO5676 [The Knighthood III] May 19 2005 12:52 AM EDT

Okay anything else that I could do at the moment?

[Redneck RV] Truc May 19 2005 12:55 AM EDT

Dump the small wooden shield too..it has a magic penalty.

(CB1)logan666 [Jago] May 19 2005 12:55 AM EDT

Inkubus, you have that backwards in that MELEE weapons will never be used if that minion has a DD spell. I agree with the others about only learning AS on the first 2 minions for now but with FB backlash I think you might do better with MM on the third minion and CoC on the last. Oh, make sure to train some hp on your DD spell caster no matter which way you decide to go with them(FB, MM, or CoC).

DrAcO5676 [The Knighthood III] May 19 2005 1:12 AM EDT

So is there anything else I can do and how could I pick up some more points real easy?

[Redneck RV] Truc May 19 2005 2:02 AM EDT

With your current strat you do not need any weapons on any minion at any time.

onlyyouknow May 19 2005 5:29 AM EDT

Try to build up enough exp to train amf or dispel magic. Can also add GA or base protection later.

For the last 2 minions, concentration all exp on fireball, maybe 1/3 HP and 2/3 fireball. Or if you train amf and GA on them, will be 1/4 HP, 3/8 FB and 3/8 enchantments.

perhaps a tip to ask things in chat? usually you get very good help there, and of course from your mentor.
