unexplained 10K PR jump? (in General)

Hi all
I returned to my character a moment ago and found my PR has jumped up by around 10K (character Lectrozap)

In a short while the PR jump will show up on my graph.
I have done one thing only since my last I last noticed my PR (about an hour or so ago) and that is bought a Vorpal Blade.
The blade has been sold so should not affect PR.

Has anyone else seen this?

My XP has been trained in 1K increments or less. No chance it could make 10K on the PR !

My graph still shows PR around 85K, it is over 95K!
Has anyone else seen a PR jump, especially on a Fireball Mage?

My graph now shows the 10K PR jump.
If no one else is experiencing this, I would like to know what happened to my PR.
Was it wrong before it changed or is it wrong now?
Why did it change?

I would appreciate some assistance from an admin if poss.

Do you honestly want your own PR to go up while your fighting ability doesn't? How do you suggest the 10K got added to my PR? I didn't put it there!

If my PR goes up, my fighting ability should too.
I have seen nothing but a jump in PR, no addition to anything else.
There have been no networth changes on the character apart from buying and selling a Vorpal Blade which was NEVER equipped.
The character is equipped with ONLY a ToE and has NOTHING else unequipped.

My PR is still 10K too high.

drop everything off the character, including tattoos

see the the pr matches the mpr

if it matches then things are normal and your character was bugged before.

with ToE unequipped, my PR=MPR
that doesn't prove its right now though!

It seems to have jumped another 5K spending about 130BA

I remember my MPR was 70K when I had 95.7K PR.
My MPR is a bit over 71K now but my overall PR is 101K

The PR seems to be going onto my ToE.

And your score is more than double that...... problem is?

If your PR suddenly jumped up 10K for no reason, would you shrug or ask why?
I spend a fair bit of effort making sure my strat does well and to lose 10K of headroom from PR to Score means less rewards and a hanging question "Why?".

Would that bother you much?

only explination i can possibly think of is you gaining PR from your tattoo leveling up.

10K in one jump at my level (69K ToE)?

It cant be discounted that the Tattoo is levelling up, but to level up 10K in 1 go (14% of my tattoos size) doesn't sound right.

Tattoos seem to just under half their level to PR. The difference between your MPR and PR is 30k and your Tats level is 69k so I'd say your PR is about right.

There is another possible reason - you just sold a vorpal blade? maybe the weapon allowance made your pr lower - once the blade left you your pr jumped up?

I've just unequipped and re-equipped my blade and my pr jumped 1k. So I'd say it's definitely to do with your weapon NW allowance.

Not quite sure why it happens though - scratches head in confusion...

I had the vorpal blade for maybe 2 hours before it was sold.
I didn't equip it to a minion so there should have been no PR change due to that.

I did spot one thing that may/may not be relevant:

I got an oversize tattoo when I was a smaller character. I just checked the tattoo level and my MPR has just passed the level of my Tattoo.
MPR 71K, Tattoo 69K.

Maybe this is a strange event that occurred when my MPR overtook the tattoo level?

I have just added some low NW armour.
It added 305 to my PR FYI.

Only ways you can increase your MPR/PR.

- Train EXP.
- Tattoo/Minion trains EXP.
- Hire a new minion.

- Equip new armour
- Blacksmith existing armour
- Forge exisitng armour
- Rent new armour and equip it

- Equip new weapon/s
- Blacksmith existing weapon/s
- Forge existing weapon/s
- Rent new weapon/s and equip it

PR calculation does include untrained XP.

I wasn't so sure about the trained/untrained EXP factoring into one's PR/MPR. So...

Ways you can increase your MPR/PR, there may be more.

- Earning EXP and/or training EXP
- Tattoo/Minion earns EXP and/or trains EXP
- Hire a new minion

- Equip new armour
- Blacksmith existing armour
- Forge existing armour
- Rent new armour and equip it

"PR calculation does include untrained XP" is this relating to the PR used to determine rewards, because the visible PR seems to only change upon training.

- Earning EXP and/or training EXP ::: EXP was trained in small amounts. I couldn't have saved anywhere near the amount needed to make my PR jump so high.

- Tattoo/Minion earns EXP and/or trains EXP ::: Tattoo Experience gets updated every so often. 10Kish PR (14% of its size) was added to my overall PR in one go. Either the PR got stuck for a while or this isn't the cause. Is this anywhere near the truth Jon?

- Hire a new minion ::: no new minions have been added

- Equip new armour ::: no armour was equipped
- Blacksmith existing armour ::: ditto
- Forge existing armour ::: ditto
- Rent new armour and equip it ::: ditto

- Equip new weapon/s ::: I had equipped then unequipped a base level cutlass quite a while before this problem. I was monitoring the PR change and my PR was left the same. I don't think this has any bearing on the issue.

- Blacksmith existing weapon/s ::: No weapons
- Forge existing weapon/s ::: N/A
- Rent new weapon/s and equip it ::: N/A

- Equipping/Blacksmithing/Forging ammo? ::: N/A

Assuming the list has all reasons ;) it could be the Tattoo not raising the PR for some time or non of the above.

Actually, that's not entirely true....
I just saw it now, actually. With no training or change in my tat's level, I went up a whole PR upon clicking 'assign'. That's right, one point. Must've been from untrained exp? Too bad... that must be a new change. I remember the gigantic chars that got sold with all untrained exp to avoid the transfer fees... ^_^

I just tried something and got a completely different result than I was expecting.

I then equipped it again.

nope i wasn't dreaming. i did about 8 fights, trained exp, checked new pr (161365).
Unequipped exec (new pr 161374)
Equipped it again (same pr 161374)

yup so my tattoo level increase after a few fights gets added to my pr if i click assign.....
