Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sook. (minor spoiler possible) (in Off-topic)

Went to watch the latest installment of Star Wars today, it was decent. Some of the "love" dialogue was a bit too teen movie-like for my liking.

I sat there watching, up to the part where the Jedi are being picked off. When a the guy a few seats to my left begin to sob. Was it really that emotional? Am I a cold-hearted monster because I did not partake in his sobbing session? I just don't know.

Did anyone else break out the waterworks or see others doing so when they watched it? Maybe he was a Star Wars nerd, or maybe a Jedi Master himself... I'm done sobbing, I mean rambling :')

just added a small notice: not everyone wants to know that the jedi get picked off.

But not being a die hard SW fan, i still got kind of sorry for all the Jedi being killed everywhere...

but I get into just about any good movie

I went to see SW3 last Friday, but I didn't see anyone actually cry.
There was one guy who was enthusiastic about every character's first appearance though.
I guess he just wanted to share that with the rest of us.
"Oh look, there's Anakin! Oh and Yoda! Sweet! C3PO!" ... 8-)

I admit it... I did.
I felt really bad for Anikin after the transformation and the matter-of-fact way Palpitine stated "You killed her" . Funny how things come back and bite you in the butt. Cause I think we all can relate to that feeling of despair and loss when you've tried everything you can, and still fail. All the while Anikin had been doing all that stuff to save her, and for what? A nifty black suit and sounding like James Earl Jones.....

i just saw this movie tonight.. and
uhm, ok, so a) all the jedi get killed except yoda and obi-wan
get killed...
it's not a big surprise for anyone who's seen.. well, any of the 5 other movies..

i wouldn't qualify that as a spoiler
except for those who never liked the movies in the first place..
which doesn't spoil anything anyhow

im really not sure how you could spoil this movie

it sucks

ok ok, it's better than the first two (e.g. the previous two, ep. 1 and 2)
but it tries to bore you to death until everyone tries to kill each other
then suddenly, action happens..
yoda spins a senate seat (for some reason im not sure of) before throwing it back at his opponent..
anakin kills a bunch of little kids to try to save his wife..
which is extremely excessive for someone merely trying to save his wife..
i mean, seriously, she's cute and all, but what is that?
can these whacky jedi powers not sense that this dude would murder everyone he ever knew to save some chick that he knocked up?

i was expecting something with more finesse maybe..
but i wasn't expecting miracles.
these movies were years in the making.
YEARS!
lots of them!!

they didn't come out of nowhere and definately did not surprise any CGI techs nor directors..

so why him suddenly start murdering every single person he could find?

ive seen better dialouge between 'lovers' in made-for-tv movies..
mrs. skywalkers favorite memories were of times they didn't know anything about each other...besides their hormones and a beach.

aww how romantic.

it's like a two hour long columbine school shooting..
except when they try to arrest the leader of the group, they bring one cop and a couple other guys who just got their gun permit and thought it might be fun to come along and try to arrest the biggest serial killer ever..

i mean, they've been searching for this guy for a LONG time..

and not only that..
suddenly every other jedi master is out on a mission that was never mentioned until you see them gunned down by random nitwits..

they were just there at jedi council..
yoda and like one other dude had that virutal connection..
suddenly every jedi master is on some distant planet quelling some separtist uprising..

isn't that the kind of stuff you can fit in a however long movie and maybe cut out some of the boring non-talking that does nothing?

ok, so now that i've made myself out to be some crazy starwars geek..
i'm really not..

these thoughts took a few minutes of my life and pretty much end here..

I almost cheered when the jedi were being slaughtered, that was a beautiful scene.

lol how anyone could possibly cry is beyond me!

during the kids scene i kinda cringed @ just another 'try' by lucas to appear more sinister, but failing miserably.

as a director, Lucas evokes about as much emotion as a piece of cardboard.

i heard about the kid killing scene.... i thought the star wars kid would be in it.

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] May 26 2005 12:31 PM EDT

lol, Nixon...

I think what he meant to say was that Him turning to the dark Side to save Padme was pointless, cuz once he went over he killed her himself instead of keeping her alive...which was his reason to turning to the Dark Side...lol.

But yea, i didnt hear or see anyone cry during the movie. Couple of retard kids (not really retarded) kept squeaking their shoes on the ground in the very front, they didnt stop till me and about 7 other people told them to shut up or they'd hit em...lol.
