This has bugged me since day one...
How does one Character have 4 minions?
That's like playing singles tennis with 4 people on each side. Seems to be a paradox going on.

I suppose it should be "Team" instead of "Character"
I feel team would be more fitting than character. Unless it is a single minion of course.
I think of it as you are the Uber God, your characters are your servants or Under Gods, with their minions being frankensteiny people that my servants have created in order to fight.
Discounting any tendency I have toward MPD, I am only one person and I have minions. Factota. Functionaries. Menials. I simply have no cause to send mine into battle -- ill-equipped or otherwise.
Your character is the "named leader" of a little band of Igors whom he sends off to the slaughter. The Lone Ranger only had Tonto, a single-minion team. Master Splinter (Hamato Yoshi) had a four minion team -- but then he had his own arch nemesis too.

A general, commanding his cannon fodder.
I envision something close to bartjan, but I usually name one minion the same as my character. He's the leader I suppose.
