example... if you have two shields, one is (+10) and another is (+10) does that give you (+20) if they are both equiped?

since you can't equip two MgS on one minion, I assume you are talking about two +10 on two different minions. In that case, each minion would have that +10 protection for themselves.

so the effects dont spread accross the party?

the effect is only for the minion wearing the mage shield...
