Accidental transfer (in Public Record)

Uh... eheh... I was making a deal with Leon to forge my Cloak of Istari, but hadn't used the external transfer system before and accidentally sent it and half of the payment for the job to the CHARACTER Leon (owned by Hawkeye I believe), rather than the user. I've sent him a CM but haven't gotten a response. The CoI should automatically return to me in a week, but it does mean an extra week without it, and I doubt Hawkeye will send back the money, even if he hasn't stopped playing. Is there any way for me to get my stuff back, cancel the transfers or something?

(Leon the user told me I should post here. ^^;;;)

Once again, another External transfer mistake.
Use Send TO.. next time
and good luck trying to get money out of him, he is a newbie and hasnt been on since the 8th (probably quit)

1: Admins don't do recovery things
2: perhaps email the player about the accident and the money involved

3: if those fail you just have given yourself a good stupidity tax and you learned from it :)

To expand on what Hellblender said.

Anytime you want to transfer something, instead of doing it the way you did, do it this way:

1. Click "search by user."

2. Enter the user name and hit enter.

3. Select the correct character to send to.

4. Click the "send to" link.

That sends you to the external transfer screen with the correct name in the field. Never fails.

and why did you perm loan it to him? hes forging it right? unless it was a huge job, you probably should have loaned it out to him for a week max or something...nice going :)

Soul read better:

"The CoI should automatically return to me in a week, but it does mean an extra week without it, "

Lol, "Why did you perm loan him?"
Is there such a thing as perm loan? It sounds like an oxi-moron to me.

Admins can't do anything about prematurely ending loans or rentals.

BrandonLP June 17 2005 5:05 PM EDT

Perma-loan is basically a word made up to signify someone loaning an item to someone else for an indefinite period of time via a permanent transfer. I've done many such things with clan mates and friends.

Synco June 17 2005 11:15 PM EDT

But he did not "perma-loan" the item. I don't know where SoulCalibur saw that...Sonofzeal loaned it for a week....

sonofzeal June 17 2005 11:23 PM EDT

Yes, I loaned the item for a week, but the money permanently. So it's not a TOTAL loss either way, but the money itself was a sizable portion of my net worth. C'est la vie.
